Porsche Museum, Stuttgart
INOX COLOR developed an extraordinary reflective stainless steel façade for the Porsche Museum in Stuttgart, which architecturally showcases the dynamic character of the brand. Over 8,500 m² of mirror polished stainless steel sheets with a slight directional grain made of 316L stainless steel transform the entrance area into an atmospheric world of experience. The stainless steel soffit with its reflective metal facade creates a sense of spaciousness through precise mirror effects, allowing visitors and the building to merge together.
Particularly challenging: the uniformly polished stainless steel surface of the concealed fastened cassette elements in special dimensions had to meet the highest aesthetic standards. Using innovative fastening technology and tailor-made surface development, INOX COLOR created this special surface for one of the most spectacular stainless steel museum facades in the world – a prime example of mirror polished stainless steel in contemporary architecture.
